explore

With the interior already designed, I first researched the existing aesthetics and iconography used in bullet journaling, as well as how people use their journals.

revise

In earlier sketches, I had more ideas of trying emulate the hand drawn look of bullet journals such as script lettering. However, I realized a clean, simple look would work best as a cover.

Finally, I oversaw the finishing touches such as the neon elastic, as well as the marketing j-band that would wrap around the front and back cover.

get things done

I designed this cover and j-band for Knock Knock to complete the You Got This journal. With input from the Sales team about what was currently most successful in bullet journals, I created a cover that would stand out from plain planners, but was still understated enough to appeal to many.
